The American Prison Newspapers collection has taken great efforts to prioritize the voices of incarcerated women. Studying women’s prisons will enable students and instructors to explore critical differences between men’s and women’s facilities. Readers can expect to learn about the various approaches to prison programming in women’s facilities as well as changes over time.
