Artstor on JSTOR: Working with images

Copying Image Groups

To ensure a seamless transition to JSTOR, copied the contents of all Artstor users’ image groups into folders in JSTOR Workspace during February 2024. When your image group content was been copied to JSTOR, you received a confirmation email with more information, a link to your Workspace, and a list of any images which couldn't be copied at the time. (If an image that couldn't be copied becomes available on JSTOR later, it will automatically be added to your Workspace.)

Once you receive notice that your Artstor images groups have been copied, you will be able to access them on JSTOR in a personal Workspace that has been created for you. Any previously defined sharing permissions have been copied along with the image groups.

There is no action that you need to take, but here’s how to find your groups and get started:

  1. Log in to JSTOR using your Artstor username and password.
  2. Go to your Workspace, which is linked at the top of any page on JSTOR.
  3. Your copied groups will appear as folders on Workspace, and retain the names of copied image groups.

Visit our support page for more information and a short video, and contact JSTOR Support with any questions.
