Collection and Suspension Process

Reinstatement Process and Policy

Finance sends monthly statements to agents to review unconfirmed orders, renewals, or suspended/withdrawals.
Confirmation orders must contain the agent's Purchase Order # to avoid suspension.
Agents have three months from subscription start date to confirm renewals with participants, and two additional months to pay after the confirmation orders with JSTOR. Suspension will occur with unconfirmed invoices by the first day of the following month.
Accounts Receivable will contact the agent directly when an account is suspended. We will not contact the institution directly with a suspension notice.
Finance will email a reminder of the payment and suspension date deadline on the 15th of the month.

A first-time occurrence to reinstate a suspended account can be done with the purchase order number from an agent.
If an account is suspended twice, the purchase order number and full payment of the invoice amount is required before reinstatement.
